Refund Policy
Last updated: October 5, 2026
The short version
- Ask within 14 days of any charge — your first payment or a renewal — and we refund that charge in full.
- Email us; there’s no form, no cancellation flow to fight through first.
- Refunds are issued back to your original payment method and usually show up within 5–10 business days.
- After 14 days, charges are final except where the law gives you a right we can’t waive.
- Cancelling stops future renewals. It doesn’t by itself refund a charge you’ve already paid for — ask within the window if you want that too.
This summary is for orientation. The sections below are what applies.
1. The 14-day guarantee
Every paid plan — Basic ($14/mo or $142.80/yr) and Professional ($25/mo or $255/yr), monthly or yearly — is covered by a 14-day money-back guarantee. It applies to your first payment and to any renewal charge, so if a plan renews and you decide within 14 days of that charge that you don’t want it, you’re still covered.
Enterprise quotes are covered the same way unless the signed quote or invoice says otherwise.
2. How to ask for one
Email help@unitpulse.io from the address on your account, with the word “refund” and roughly when you were charged — we can look the rest up. You don’t need to explain why, and you don’t need to cancel your subscription first.
3. What happens next
- We confirm the charge and refund it in full through our payment provider, Paddle.
- Your plan moves to Free once the refund is issued, the same as if you’d cancelled.
- The money returns to the card or payment method you paid with — refunds can’t be redirected elsewhere.
- It typically shows up within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.
- We’ll confirm by email once it’s done. We never charge a restocking or processing fee on a refund.
4. After 14 days
Charges older than 14 days are final, except where applicable law gives you a right we can’t waive (for example, certain statutory withdrawal rights in the EU/UK for digital services, which this guarantee is designed to meet or exceed). If you think that applies to you, email us and we’ll work it out.
5. Exceptions
We may decline or limit a refund where:
- A plan has clearly been used to bulk-run analyses — the credit allowance was consumed, not left unused.
- Refunds are being requested repeatedly on the same account, suggesting the guarantee itself is being abused.
- The charge was already refunded, or is the subject of an open chargeback (see §8).
Outside those cases, “I just don’t want it” is a perfectly good reason and we’ll refund it.
6. Cancelling isn’t the same as a refund
Cancelling or downgrading a plan (from Billing in the app) stops it from renewing — you keep what you paid for until the end of the current period, then move to Free or the lower plan. It doesn’t, by itself, refund money you’ve already paid. If you want both, cancel and separately ask for a refund within the 14-day window above.
7. Enterprise & invoiced customers
Enterprise plans paid through a quote link follow this same 14-day guarantee unless the quote says otherwise. Customers who pay by invoice or bank transfer (set up by our team rather than through self-serve checkout) should contact their point of contact or help@unitpulse.io — refund terms for an invoiced contract follow what’s agreed in it.
8. Chargebacks & disputes
If something’s wrong with a charge, please ask us for a refund before disputing it with your bank or card issuer — it’s faster for you and avoids the account being locked while a chargeback is investigated. We respond to every refund request we receive.
