Add to Chrome
Install UnitPulse from the Chrome Web Store. It asks for two permissions, storage and scripting, plus access to the job sites it supports.
Pin it
Click the puzzle icon in Chrome’s toolbar and pin UnitPulse so the popup is always one click away.
Sign in once
Open the popup and choose Sign in. The web app opens in a tab, and the extension connects to your account automatically.
Already installed? Open any job on a supported board — the badge appears as it loads.

The extension is deliberately narrow. Here’s exactly what it can and can’t do.
Only supported job sites
The extension runs on the job boards it supports, such as LinkedIn, Indeed and Upwork, and on Google’s job results. It doesn’t load on any other site you visit.
Only the job you analyze
It reads the posting you’re viewing. When you run an analysis on LinkedIn, it also reads the hiring company’s LinkedIn page (website, industry, size, type and headquarters) with your own LinkedIn session, either directly or in a background tab it closes after a few seconds, and the public version of the job page. On Indeed, it reads the employer’s company page; on Upwork, the About-the-client details. It never opens anyone’s profile, and never reads your messages or connections.
Two permissions
Storage, to keep you signed in and remember your settings. Scripting, to read the hiring company’s LinkedIn page during a LinkedIn analysis.
No automation
It only reads pages when you open a job or click analyze, and never applies, messages or connects for you.
What it stores in your browser
- Your session token, so you stay signed in
- Your settings, such as which sites are on
- A cached copy of the page rules used to read job listings
What it sends us
When you run an analysis, the extension sends the details it read for that job to our server over HTTPS, so the checks can run. On LinkedIn and Indeed, that includes the company details it found (website, industry, size, headquarters), and on LinkedIn the poster name and headline shown on the public job page. Nothing about the job is sent while you just browse.
